Overview
Founded in 2015, YPO ASEAN United Chapter capitalizes on the formation of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). Our objective is to assemble a group of qualified and engaged Young Presidents who are dedicated to becoming “Better Leaders through Education and Idea Exchange” and to foster relationships amongst members through participation and engagement.
We particularly encourage diversity in ethnicity, gender and industries to enhance member experience and offer a valuable professional network across ASEAN.

Most Members join YPO to become better leaders in their businesses but they quickly realize that YPO Education and experiences extend well beyond the boardroom. For its Members YPO enables the world to shrink and expand to meet each individuals’ needs.
The YPO ASEAN United Chapter embraces all of YPO’s principles and objectives, and we are particularly committed to embracing excellence and providing value to our members. Our goal is to build and sustain a Chapter with a diverse Membership that retains the intimacy of YPO Chapters, but with a broader geographic scope.
Spanning the 10 Member Nations of the AEC, ASEAN United’s diversity in membership provides opportunities for broader perspectives, connections, idea exchange and forum experiences for its distinguished Members (YPO and YPO Gold).

AEC Focus
The AEC Blueprint outlines four key pillars:
1. A Single Market and Production Base;
2. Creating a Competitive Economic Region;
3. Fostering Equitable Economic Development;
4. Integration into the Global Economy.
Although the deadline for the realization of AEC was set for 2015 it is widely accepted that 2015 is a milestone year, not a hard-fast deadline; the landscape won’t suddenly transform, processes will not immediately change, nor will the interests of member states be significantly altered immediately. From 2015 the AEC is a work in progress which gives the YPO ASEAN United Chapter a pulse of vibrancy and agility.
The ASEAN United Chapter is committed to building a Chapter of Leaders with an interest in ASEAN, a diverse membership in terms of gender, industry and ethnicity who can contribute to delivering a broader perspective, networking connections, idea exchange, a fulfilling experience and a network of life-long friends.
ASEAN United Events
Events are open to spouses, and once a year a family event including children is organized. All events abide by the E-CODE principles of YPO.
ASEAN United Forums
Our Members are encouraged to join forums to confidentially share with their peers facets of their business, personal, and family life; your own personal board or directors that offers a unique opportunity for Members to access a level of Peer-to-Peer feedback that Leaders so rarely obtain in life.
